Understand Cardmarket, retailer and eBay comparison prices

Three values answer different questions
A retailer price tells you what one store asks for a particular product. A Cardmarket reference describes another dataset. An eBay listing, where shown, is a further asking price. These values are not interchangeable. Read the label beside each figure before comparing them. A missing value does not mean free merchandise or prove that no market exists. A useful buying decision requires a correct product match and the full delivered cost from the seller you will actually order from.
Read the Cardmarket context
RestockHero distinguishes a Cardmarket trend reference from the average of sales over the previous thirty days. An “all languages” label means the reference includes multiple language editions. It does not establish an exact price for a German retail box. When a difference looks unusual, check the product type and language mapping first. A similarly named box may belong to a different expansion. The displayed reference helps provide context, but it does not replace variant checks or constitute an offer that a seller must honour.
An asking price is not a sale
An eBay Buy It Now listing shows an asking price rather than evidence of a completed transaction. Shipping, language, seller identity and condition still matter. For US deals, RestockHero may use a median of its retailer offers, with that reference labelled separately. This is also built from asking prices. Do not compare a euro figure directly with a dollar figure. For an international purchase, calculate the actual cost separately and verify the checkout rather than treating a percentage difference as your final saving.
Investigate dramatic discounts
A very large gap should prompt a closer look. Compare titles, quantities and availability on both sides. A single pack mapped to a display price cannot support a useful buying comparison. Use the deals page as a filtered starting point and then inspect the specific product. There is no promise that every result has the lowest delivered cost for your country. Choose an offer you can understand; a striking percentage should not push you into buying a product whose contents you have not established with confidence.
Your buying note in five steps
Open the matching search for Booster Box and select one offer first. For your private note, copy the full product title and add the language, quantity and product format. Leave missing information unresolved. Do not fill a gap using an image or another store’s description. This helps you compare the merchandise actually described and explain the variant you mean if you need to ask a question. The note is especially useful when several browser tabs show very similar names but different products or quantities.
Record costs and your decision
Write down the item price and shipping quoted for your destination separately. Add any further costs visible in the specific checkout instead of relying only on a discount percentage. Then record your own maximum price and purpose: opening, playing, gifting or collecting. Choosing to wait is a complete outcome as well. A search result, a newly announced date or a notification does not by itself create a need to buy or provide a guarantee about what a product will cost in the future.
After comparing
Finally, check the retailer’s delivery status, payment method and actual contents once more. If you order, retain the confirmation and verify that the language and quantity match your notes. When something differs, ask a factual question and record the response. If you spot a mismatch in the comparison service, keep the product link and a concise description of the problem. A careful comparison ends with an understandable decision and traceable information. It does not have to end with placing an order or increasing your original spending limit.
